Some of the most expansive and magnificent casino resorts in this riverside desert wonderland include the Golden Nugget Laughlin, Harrah's Laughlin Casino, Pioneer Hotel & Gambling Hall, Aquarius Casino Resort, Edgewater Hotel & Casino, River Palms Resort Casino, and of course one of the original resorts, Don Laughlin's Riverside Resort. If the desert heat gives you a thirst for some specialty suds, then you should head for the Colorado Belle Hotel Casino & Microbrewery where you can sample many different beers.

Dining out in Laughlin is a gourmet experience unlike any other. You'll have your choice of every imaginable type of cuisine, from immense buffets to steakhouses, French, Italian, Mexican, Chinese and almost any other nationality you can name! On any given evening, you will have your choice of attending performances by world-famous entertainers, plus the resort's megaspectacular ongoing shows featuring hundreds of performers and specialty acts. After the show, you can relax at any one of Laughlin's exciting night clubs such as Kokopelli's Lounge, Caboose Lounge, Tarzan's Nightclub, Lightning Strikes Dance Club, The Bermuda Club, or The Boiler Room Brew Pub.

Laughlin is well known for its special events that draw visitors from around the country and the world. Some of these include The Great American Race where some of the most beautiful classic hot rods and muscle cars stop at the Colorado Belle on their 4,000 mile cross country journey; Roddin' On The River where street rods, muscle cars, trucks, classics and specialty vehicles come to see and be seen; The Parti Gras which is a New Orleans Mardi Gras transferred to the desert, complete with street vendors, tarot card readers and of course lots of zydeco music and parties; Viva Laughlin, a hispanic themed grand fiesta; The Laughlin Stampede Rodeo where the country's best cowboys compete for a quarter million dollars in prize money; and the Laughlin River Run when over 60,000 motorcyclists drive from all over the continent to party by the river! The Fourth Of July festivities in Laughlin are extra special as not only are the all-weekend parties renowned, but the whole celebration is concluded with Rockets Over The River, one of the country's biggest and most spectacular fireworks displays.

The township was named after founder Don Laughlin, owner of the Riverside Resort and Casino, after "Casino" and "Jackpot" were rejected by the United States Postal Service. Although Laughlin is almost 100 miles south of Las Vegas, it is under the jurisdiction of that city's Metropolitan Police Department.

Laughlin is also one of the nation's leading RV destinations, so you'll find ample, comfortable and well-maintained parks, such as Don Laughlin's Riverside Resort RV park which features 740 spaces with full hook ups, boat access and a free shuttle service to the Resort!
